Ammon News - The United Nations World Food Program verified that over 90% of Gaza's population will experience serious food insecurity by November.

Last night, the program conveyed its serious worry about the recent Israeli law impacting UNRWA, the organization crucial for offering life-saving assistance in Gaza, through a statement on its official website.

The statement mentioned that the collapse of food systems in Gaza was mainly caused by the destruction of factories and agricultural lands, with shops and markets being nearly deserted. The program emphasized the need for immediate action to prevent a famine in the Gaza Strip, especially with winter approaching.

He emphasized that we have 94,000 metric tons of food, sufficient for feeding one million individuals for 4 months, ready to be sent to Gaza. We are prepared to transport critical aid to Gaza, however, we require the opening and securing of additional border crossings, cautioning of severe repercussions for the most at-risk individuals if the expulsion of UNRWA is enforced.
