JFDA closes 235 food facilities, suspends 1,295 others since beginning of 2024

Ammon News - Jordan Food and Drug Administration (JFDA) has closed 235 food facilities and suspended 1,295 other facilities since the beginning of 2024, Al-Mamlaka reported.
The monitoring and inspection teams have carried out 36,198 field inspection tours in various regions of the Kingdom since the beginning of this year, according to the JFDA.
The administration issued a total of 18,879 warnings and destroyed 1,263,538 kg of solid food and 90,122 liters of liquid food, it added.
JFDA's Director-General Dr. Nizar Mhaidat, said earlier that the administration’s cadres focus their oversight during field tours on food and medicine.
