The clash resulted in the death of one of the smugglers, the injury of others, and their retreat into deep Syria. The seized contraband has been handed over to appropriate authorities. The source confirmed that the Jordanian Armed Forces - Arab Army are working to harness all capabilities to strike with an iron fist anyone who dares to tamper with Jordanian national security.

Ammon News - The Eastern Military Zone, in coordination with military services and the Anti-Narcotics Department (AND), at dawn n Wednesday, thwarted an infiltration attempt, and drugs trafficking from the Syrian territories into the Kingdom, according to a responsible military source from the General Command of the Jordan Armed Forces - Arab Army.
