PSD warns against direct exposure to sunlight on Sunday

Ammon News - The Public Security Directorate (PSD) stressed the need to adhere to preventive advice and instructions to avoid incidents of sunstroke, heat stress, and fires, in light of the high temperatures on Sunday, with their continued rise in the next two days.
The PSD said in a statement that it is ready to deal with any emergency and provide assistance with the entry of hot and dry air mass, calling for the necessity of not being exposed to direct sunlight, especially in the areas of Aqaba and the Jordan Valley, in order to avoid the risk of sunstroke and heat exhaustion.
It also called for drinking appropriate amounts of fluids, especially water, and wearing light, loose clothing.
The Public Security Directorate stressed the need not to leave children alone inside vehicles, and not to leave flammable materials inside vehicles such as sterilizers, gas canisters, lighters, and perfumes.
It also called on citizens not to hesitate to call the unified emergency phone 911 if the need arises.
