Jordan, Spain agree that there is no alternative to UNRWA, FM says

Ammon News - Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriate Affairs, Ayman Safadi, said on Wednesday that Jordan and Spain agreed that there is no alternative to UNRWA, especially in light of the humanitarian catastrophe that people in the Gaza trip are experiencing.

During a press conference with his counterpart, the Spanish Minister of Foreign Affairs, European Union and Cooperation, José Manuel Albares, Safadi added that Spain has a major role in peace efforts, from which the peace process began 30 years ago, explaining that the Spanish position is firm in supporting the UNRWA.

Safadi also held extensive discussions that addressed the dangerous developments taking place in Gaza, the catastrophic repercussions of the war, and the efforts made to stop it, ensure the protection of civilians, and deliver adequate and sustainable humanitarian aid to all parts of the Strip.
