Ammon News - French Foreign Minister Stéphane Séjourné revealed his agreement with the Jordanian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriate Affairs, Ayman Safadi, to find new ways and means to continue humanitarian cooperation regarding the Gaza Strip, especially after the joint airdrops.

This comes in view of the increasing needs in the Strip, noting that much has already been accomplished in the field of humanitarian cooperation, Séjourné said.

After Cairo, we further note a strong convergence with Amman. Egypt and Jordan play a pivotal role among the Arab countries. They are actively engaging to reach a consensus within Arab countries, similarly to what France is undertaking with its European partners, Séjourné added.

The bilateral meeting of Safadi and Séjourné was followed by a long dinner with Jordanian Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi.

Jordan welcomed our position on UNRWA, Séjourné stated.
