One person was killed and two others were injured inside a factory in Aqaba Governorate on Monday, after a person opened fire after being fired from work, according to a security source.
The media spokesman for the Public Security Directorate (PSD) said that a report was received by the Aqaba Governorate Police Directorate on Monday morning that a person had fired bullets randomly inside a factory after he had been fired from work at the factory some time ago.
He fled the scene and a search is underway for him.
The incident resulted in two foreign nationals being injured by gunfire and were taken to the hospital where they are being treated, while a Jordanian employee was also taken to the hospital after falling and the investigation is still ongoing, the spokesperson added.
Few hours later, the media spokesperson announced the death of one of the injured people.
