The meeting will be chaired by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Ayman Safadi and his Swedish counterpart Maria Stenergaard, with the participation of UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres and UNRWA Commissioner-General Philippe Lazzarini. The meeting will stress the need to mobilize the necessary international support for UNRWA to ensure it continues to provide its vital services to more than 5.9 million Palestinian refugees in its five areas of operation.

Ammon News - Jordan and Sweden will chair Thursday a ministerial meeting to support the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA), on the sidelines of the 79th UNGA in New York.
