Jordanians perform Eid al-Fitr prayer

Ammon News - Jordanians, on Friday, performed Eid al-Fitr prayer across Kingdom in mosques and yards announced by the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs.
On the occasion, Awqaf Minister Mohammad Khalailah delivered Eid al-Fitr sermon at the Sports City's yard in Amman and congratulated His Majesty King Abdullah, His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II.
"On such blessed days, we remember the holy Al-Aqsa Mosque, which was and will remain in all of our hearts," Khalailah said.
He referred to "the status of Islamic and Christian sanctities in all of our hearts, which enjoy Hashemite custodianship".
Khalailah called for upholding ties of kinship and caring for the poor and the needy, in implementation of God Almighty orders to have mercy among members of the same community, and to give alms of Zakat al-Fitr (Zakat of Breaking the Fast of Ramadan).
He pointed out to the virtues of tolerance among people, especially on this blessed Eid.
