Wet air mass affects Kingdom Thursday

Ammon News - A period of cool and humid weather is forecast to impact the Kingdom on Thursday, pushing temperatures 3-4 degrees below average. Therefore, pleasant weather will prevail in the highlands and plains, while it will be moderate elsewhere.

According to the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD), clouds will gather at varying altitudes, and light showers of rain are likely to fall in the east of the Kingdom. Meanwhile, northwesterly winds will be moderate, picking up at times, and stirring dust in the desert regions.

The cool and humid spell is predicted to persist on Friday, with pleasant weather ruling in the high areas, while it will be moderate on the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba, with northwesterly moderate to brisk winds.

On Saturday, the majority of the country will see a return to spring weather with mercury levels rising to around the seasonal average. Clouds will appear at high altitudes, and winds will be moderate from the northeast to the northwest.

Today, temperatures in the capital Amman will range between a high of 21 degrees Celsius and a low of 19C at night, while the port city of Aqaba will see a fair 33C, sliding to 23C at night.
