Ministry checking up on Jordanians in Sudan following "security developments"

Ammon News - The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates said it is checking up on Jordanians residing in Sudan following the ongoing security developments.

In a statement on Saturday, the ministry's spokesperson Sinan Majali underlined that the Jordanian embassy in the Sudanese capital, Khartoum, has established an operations room to follow up on any observation or inquiry from Jordanians around the clock and that the embassy, through its database, is also reaching out to Jordanian citizens to check up on them.

In light of the events taking place in the country, the ministry called on Jordanian citizens residing and visiting Sudan to take the utmost care and caution, stay away from areas of tension, adhere to the instructions issued by the local authorities, and to contact the Jordanian embassy in case of need of assistance on the embassy hotline number 00249901699416 or 00249915491874; or the Operations Center Unit in the ministry at the number 00962795497777; or email at op.ctr@fm.gov.jo.
