Ammon News - A significant drop in temperatures is expected on Tuesday, bringing relatively cold and partly cloudy weather conditions, with intermittent showers in various regions, especially the eastern and southeastern areas, the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD) said in its daily update.
The weather department warned of slick roads in the areas experiencing rain, and of poor horizontal visibility in the highlands due to fog.
The Kingdom on Wednesday will be affected by a cold and wet air mass accompanied by a depression, pushing mercury levels 9-10 degrees below the annual average, and triggering cold, cloudy, and rainy conditions in much of the country.
Rainfall is forecast to be heavy with thunder and hail in the western region, while winds will be westerly active with strong gusts, blowing dust in the Badia, the JMD added.
Thursday will see a slight rise in mercury, but it will remain cold with partly cloudy and rainy weather, the JMD further said.
Today, temperatures in the capital Amman will range between a high of 17 degrees Celsius and a low of 7C at night, while the port city of Aqaba will see a fair 25C, sliding to 17C at night.
