Ammon News - The Ministry of Water and Irrigation has announced the extension of the deadline for submitting financial and technical bids for the National Water Carrier Project to July 3rd, in response to requests from qualified consortia.

The project is a major priority for safeguarding national water security and a crucial component of the country's economic growth, the ministry emphasized in a statement on Thursday.

Approximately 300 million cubic meters of desalinated water will be transported annually through the National Water Carrier Project (Aqaba-Amman Water Desalination and Conveyance Project) from the Red Sea port city of Aqaba to the highly populated capital Amman and other cities.
