Ammon News - The Italian government funded the UNICIF with €2 million to provide young Jordanians and women with the skills and training necessary for economic participation and secure their future.

The Italian Embassy in Amman stated that the fund would allow the economic participation of more than 1,500 aged between 17 and 24 who live in the most vulnerable communities across Jordan, by providing job guidance and building skills, technical and vocational training.

Italian Ambassador to Jordan Luciano Pizzotti said: "I am very proud to launch another programme with UNICEF dedicated to the youth of Jordan, who are the real key to the progress and success of this country," praising the work done by UNICEF in education, capacity building and economic resilience.

"UNICEF is pleased to partner up with the government of Italy to provide the most vulnerable youth with the necessary skills, preparing them for the future, which will enhance their employability and help them make a successful transition to maturity," said Philippe Duamel, UNICEF Representative in Jordan.
