11 professions that non-Jordanians not allowed to practice

Ammon News - The government issued new instructions for crafts and handicrafts that non-Jordanians are not allowed to practice.

These instructions come under Paragraph (b) of Article (13) of the Investment Environment Law No. (7) of 2023.

New regulations about the arts and crafts that non-Jordanians are not permitted to perform have been issued by the government.

This guidance is provided in accordance with Article (13) Paragraph (b) of the Investment Environment Regulation System No. (7) of 2023.

Non-Jordanians are not allowed to work in the following professions:

-Barbershop
-Upholstery and furnishings concerns
-Confectionery of sweets, pastries or ice cream
-Carpentry, blacksmithing, aluminum, turning and metal forming
-Embroidery and sewing traditional costumes
-Production and bottling of pure filtered water
-Goldsmith, jewellery
-Production of roasted and packaged nuts
-Coffee roasting, grinding and packaging
-Manufacture of ceramic and pottery products
-Dry clean laundry and ironing service
