Ammon News - Relatively cold and partly cloudy weather conditions, with scattered showers, are expected to prevail on Sunday in various parts of the Kingdom, the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD) said in its daily brief.
Rainfall is forecast to be heavy in the southern and eastern regions, accompanied by thunder and hail at times, the JMD added.
Additionally, the weather service issued alerts about flash floods in valleys and lowlands, slick roads in the areas experiencing rain, and poor horizontal visibility in the highlands due to dense fog.
On Monday, temperatures will hover around the seasonal average, with relatively cold weather prevailing in the highlands, while it will be pleasant in other regions, with low clouds and a chance for light showers in the early morning hours over the northern areas, the JMD noted.
Toward Tuesday, mercury levels will rise again, bringing sunny and fair weather in the highlands and the plains, and relatively warm conditions in other regions, the forecasters predicted.
Today, temperatures in the capital Amman will range between a high of 18 degrees Celsius and a low of 7C at night, while the port city of Aqaba will see a fair 25C, sliding to 15C at night.
