Medium emergency announced to deal with weather conditions

Ammon News - Ministry of Public Works and Housing announced a "medium" state of emergency, coinciding with the expected weather conditions affecting the Kingdom, according to information received from Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD).
In a press statement on Thursday, the ministry affirmed its readiness to deal with the expected weather conditions and address observations received round the clock through its 106 teams operating across the Kingdom.
Minister of Public Works and Housing and Minister of Transport, Maher Abu Saman, sent a circular to its directorates and offices in the Kingdom's various regions to fully prepare to face the expected weather conditions and conduct periodic inspection tours countrywide, the ministry said.
The ministry stressed the need to maintain continuous coordination with its partners, to work on resolving and addressing various observations "immediately" to sustain continuity of services provided to citizens, according to the followed government approach, the statement said.
The ministry also called on citizens to take caution of low horizontal visibility in the desert areas due to dust and weak possibility in the evening and night hours of the formation of torrential rains in southern regions, the statement pointed out.
