Ammon News - The Kingdom will be affected by a state of atmospheric instability, and temperatures drop significantly with rain showers forecast across the country, Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD) said in its daily update.
In addition, rain will be heavy for varying periods, especially in the Kingdom's southern regions and will be often accompanied by thunder and hail.
The JMD warns of slippery roads that witness downpour, and formation of torrents in low areas, especially in the southern regions, including Aqaba, as well as poor horizontal visibility due to dust, especially in the desert areas.
On Sunday, another drop in temperatures is forecast, and the weather will be cold and cloudy, with rain showers in the Kingdom's different regions, which may be often heavy in the morning hours for short periods in the country's western regions, accompanied by thunder and hail.
As for Monday, a slight rise in temperatures is expected with an opportunity for rain showers in the Kingdom's northern areas.
Today, temperatures in the capital Amman will hit 21 degrees Celsius, dipping to 8C at night, while the port city of Aqaba will see a fair 28C, sliding to 18C during night hours.
