Ammon News - The volume of rainfall since the beginning of the winter season rose to 85.5% from the general annual rate of 8.1 billion cubic meters annually, constituting 107.6% of the total rainfall last year, according to the Ministry of Water and Irrigation.
The Ministry showed that 700,000 cubic meters of water entering the dams, raising the storage to 117 million cubic meters, or 41.65% of their total capacity of 280,759 million cubic meters.
On the governorate level, Amman witnessed the highest rainfall of 5,5 millimeters (mm), followed by Zarqa with 0,7mm, Madaba with 7,8mm, Balqa with 7,3mm, Jerash with 7,8mm, Karak with 1,3mm, Mafraq with 0,6mm, Irbid with 5,6mm and Ajloun with 8,4mm, while Tafileh, Ma’an and Aqaba did not record any precipitation.
