Ammon News - Prime Minister Bisher Khasawneh received Tuesday Speaker of Libya's House of Representatives Aguila Saleh to discuss ties and means of enhancing them.

During the meeting, the Prime Minister underscored the depth of the historical relationship between Jordan and Libya and the joint commitment to cementing and enhancing them in various fields.

He said Jordan, under the leadership of His Majesty King Abdullah II, supports all political efforts aimed at protecting Libya's unity, ensuring its security and stability, and restoring its leading role in the Arab and international arenas, stressing the government's commitment to cooperating with Libya in various fields, especially in capacity building, medicine and infrastructure.

For his part, Saleh lauded Jordan's ongoing support, under the leadership of His Majesty King Abdullah II, for Libya and its people, stressing the "close and historical" relationship between the two countries and peoples.
