Ammon News - Temperatures on Sunday are expected to be 4-6 degrees above their annual average, with moderate weather conditions prevailing in most parts of the Kingdom, except in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba where it will be warm, with clouds at various altitudes, forecasters said.

According to the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD), the eastern Badia region will be affected by unstable weather conditions, triggering cloudy skies with a chance for scattered showers accompanied by thunder at times.

On Monday, similar fair conditions will persist despite a slight drop in mercury levels, the JMD said.

As for Tuesday, the eastern basin of the Mediterranean Sea, including the Kingdom, will be affected by an air depression accompanied by a cold and moist air mass of central Europe origin, pushing temperatures down and bringing relatively cold and cloudy weather with spotty showers in the western areas extending to cover all regions.

Rainfall will be often heavy with thunder and hail in some areas, causing flash floods in valleys and lowlands, including the Dead Sea and Aqaba, the JMD predicted.

Today, temperatures in the capital Amman will range between a high of 24 degrees Celsius and a low of 9C at night, while the port city of Aqaba will see a fair 30C, sliding to 18C at aa night.
