Ammon News - A tangible dip in temperatures is forecast on Monday returning to their seasonal averages and bringing relatively cold conditions in the highlands, while it will be moderate in other parts of the Kingdom, the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD) said in its daily update.

Clouds at low altitudes are also forecast to form in the northern and central regions, with a chance for light and scattered showers in the northern areas. Winds will be northwesterly brisk, blowing dust at times.

The weather department warned of poor horizontal visibility in the highlands and the eastern areas due to dust and fog formation.

Over the next two days, mercury levels will continue to dip, triggering relatively cold conditions in much of the country, except in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba where it will be pleasant, with low clouds.

Today, temperatures in the capital Amman will range between a high of 18 degrees Celsius and a low of 6C at night, while the port city of Aqaba will see a fair 27C, sliding to 14C at night.
