Social development minister participates in UN session on gender equality

Ammon News - Social development minister Wafa Bani Mustafa is representing Jordan at the 67th session of the "Commission on the Status of Women at the United Nations" on women empowerment and gender equality.

Bani Mustafa, the head of the ministerial committee for women empowerment, would join a round-table discussion on solutions to plugging the gaps between women and men regarding digitisation and education to promote women's status.

Bani Mustafa would present Jordan's progress in the Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action. The Jordanian delegation would hold a breakout session with ESCWA and Palestinian officials.

The 2023 UN session is titled: "Innovation, Technological Change and Education in the Digital Age to achieve gender equality and empower all women and girls."
