Ammon News - The Jordan Hashemite Charity Organization (JHCO) has dispatched five humanitarian aid convoys over the past week to earthquake survivors in Syria, consisting of 35 trucks that were handed over to the Syrian Arab Red Crescent and United Nations agencies based in the country, stressing it will continue its operations over the next few days.
In a statement on Thursday, the JHCO said that the trucks carry blankets, mattresses, and medical and food supplies, according to the lists of needs the Syrian authorities had released.
The JHCO has received financial and in-kind aid, which will be sent in relief convoys over the next few days, said the JHCO Secretary-General Hussein Shibli.
The organization is receiving in-kind donations based on a specific frequently updated list that itemizes family tents, power generators, folding beds, heaters, pillows, clothes, winter shoes, lamps, and food containers among the items needed for survivors. Moreover, respiratory devices, first aid bags, resuscitation equipment, rescue equipment, oxygen cylinders and masks, ambulances, and surgery tools are included on the lists.
