Ammon News - President of Jordan Exporters Association (JEA), Ahmad Khudari stressed the importance of the Kingdom's participation in foreign exhibitions to promote national industries and open new markets.

Following participation of 31 Jordanian food industrial companies in Gulffood Exhibition (Gulfood 2023), Khuadri said foreign fairs are "important" means to market and promote the Kingdom's products and increasing national exports, Khudari said in a statement on Saturday.

Khudari described Jordan's participation through JEA's pavilion as "successful and fruitful," which helped Jordanian products to enter multiple international markets.

During the exhibition, he said multiple Jordanian companies struck understandings and concluded contracts to deliver their products to several markets, primarily U.S., Canada, China, Russia and Australia, as well as European and Arab countries.

In addition, he noted participation contributed to enabling Jordanian companies to learn about the latest global developments in the food processing field, adding that the exhibition is viewed as the world's largest event in the food supply area, as more than 5, 000 companies from 120 countries took part in the fair.

The Kingdom's pavilion was 722 square meters, and Jordanian food industrial companies operating in milk and dairy products, spices, coffee, beverages, meat, poultry, and deserts displayed their products, the statement noted.

Khudari stressed the need to support Jordan's participation globally to increase national exports, which is a key means to stimulate national economy and create more job opportunities for Jordanians by increasing production, attracting more investments and strengthening the Kingdom's foreign reserves.

Khudari also affirmed JEA's readiness to cooperate with the concerned authorities and harness its expertise to support and enable Jordanian companies to increase their exports.

JEA, he noted, will work during the coming period to organize Jordanian participation in multiple important and specialized global exhibitions, especially fairs held in Canada, U.S., Saudi Arabia and the UAE.
