Ammon News - Head of Jordanian National Center for Epidemiology and Communicable Diseases Control (JCDC), Raeda Qutb, confirmed no deaths from the corona virus have been recorded in recent weeks, noting a significant decrease in the infection rate 4 months ago, to record 100 infections per week.
Qutb told “Radio Amen FM” Wednesday that there is a campaign by the Ministry of Health to expand the taking of “PCR” samples in Jordan, with the aim of increasing surveillance and monitoring and maintaining the stability of the epidemiological situation.
The new mutant does not show any symptoms on the infected, and therefore the PCR tests are being expanded, Qutb noted.
She added that the epidemiological situation in Jordan is stable and there is no increase in the infection rate.
The head of the JCDC called for adherence to preventive measures, whether by taking the available vaccine or by staying away from crowded places and using masks.
