Ammon News - Lower House Speaker, Ahmed Safadi will discuss Tuesday with his Iraqi counterpart, Mohammad Halbousi, strengthening joint cooperation.

Safadi will start an official visit to Iraq on Tuesday, accompanied by the heads of the parliamentary blocs.

According to a statement issued by the House of Representatives, "The visit came at the official invitation of the Speaker of the Iraqi Parliament, aiming to build on the outcomes of the Baghdad Conference for Cooperation and Partnership that Jordan hosted last month with regional and international participation, which confirmed that Iraq's security and stability are a fundamental pillar for the stability of the region."


The statement indicated that the Jordanian parliamentary delegation will discuss with the heads of the Iraqi parliamentary blocs prospects for strengthening Jordanian-Egyptian-Iraqi economic cooperation and integration projects, accelerating the pace of work on joint Jordanian-Iraqi projects, and taking steps to stimulate mutual investment.
