Ammon News -
The Cabinet mourned the death of three police officers who were killed Monday during a raid on the hideout of a man suspected of killing a police colonel while on duty in the southern Maan governorate a few days ago.
The three officers were identified as Cpt. Gaith Rahahleh, Lit. Mutaz Injada, and Cprl. Atef Shaqareen.
The prime suspect was killed in the raid while several other persons were arrested, according to an earlier statement issued by the Public Security Department.
The Cabinet extended heartfelt condolences to the families of the officers who, it said, "fell in the line of duty while confronting murderers, criminals, saboteurs, and adherents of Takfiri ideology".
The Cabinet vowed that there will be no tolerance for those who violate security, assault security personnel or public or private property, or take advantage of any situation to create disorder and intimidate the general public.
