Ammon News - The Director General of the Jordan Food and Drug Administration (JFDA), Dr. Nizar Muhaidat, said that the JFDA, through the Directorate of Medical Supplies and Devices, has taken a number of qualitative measures to enhance monitoring and tracking of the process of importing and trading medical supplies and devices.

The institution has developed several strict control procedures, and it was decided not to complete any import invoice for laser devices of all kinds except after obtaining a no-objection from the Directorate of Professions and Institutions Licensing in the Ministry of Health on these invoices to ensure that their use is limited to licensed beauty centers, Muhaidat added in a statement on Monday.

The JFDA called on importers of medical supplies, including sterilizers and antiseptics, to keep import invoices and sales lists for each import of the medical requirement "filler injections", which specify the entity sold to ensure that they are used by the authorities authorized to use them and that they are detailed for each import process.

It is noteworthy that the control and inspection campaigns are continuing on the places of circulation of supplies, medical devices and cosmetics.
