Al-Sughayer: Establishing a risk fund in Amman trade to help merchants

Ammon News - A member of the (Al-Tajer) block, which is running in the Amman Chamber of Commerce elections, Falah Fathi Al-Sughayer, confirmed that the establishment of a risk fund in the Amman Chamber of Commerce to support merchants in exceptional circumstances is a top priority.

Al-Sughayer said that any trader’s business is exposed to many risks that are beyond his/her will and control, which requires the existence of a specific support mechanism to maintain the sustainability and continuity of his/her trade.

He pointed out that there are merchants who have lost everything they own due to a fire as a result of an electrical fault or similar cases, stressing the need to provide relief to this group in a way that guarantees the continuity of their trade and its revival.

Al-Sughayer stressed that the Amman Chamber of Commerce is keen on the funds of the General Assembly, but everyone agrees on the importance of supporting the members of the Chamber in the required manner.

He stated that the (Al-Tajer) block carries out a modernization project that focuses on achieving more accomplishments that are in the interest of the merchant and moves the Chamber to a new construction phase in its second centenary, which it will enter next year, and simulates the vision of economic modernization, which included broad initiatives that support the commercial, service and agricultural sectors.

Al-Sughayer stressed that the Amman Chamber of Commerce is the home of all merchants and a haven for every merchant, pledging to work jointly with the General Authority to continue building on previous achievements.

It is noteworthy that the (Al-Tajer) bloc, which is headed by Khalil Al-Haj Tawfiq, includes: Muhammad Tahboub, Falah Fathi al-Sughayer, Alaa Qassem Diranieh, Nabil al-Khatib, Dr. Jehad maani and khattab al-Banna.
