Ammon News - The Senate's Legal Committee , headed by Ain Ahmed Tbeishat, on Thursday started debate to revisit the Upper Chamber's internal system.

Tbeishat said some articles need to be amended to align with the Kingdom's recent constitutional amendments, in a way that suits the legislative work environment and duties, according to a Senate statement.

Referring to proposals submitted in this regard, he said the process aims to align with the Constitution, especially in strengthening the Senate's legislative and oversight functions and improving its performance capability.

The projected amendments introduce new articles to address loopholes, which are currently not worked out, primarily related to code of conduct, he said.
