Princess Muna stresses importance of strengthening JNC-UNRWA nursing cooperation

Ammon News - HRH Princess Muna Al Hussein, President of the Jordanian Nursing Council (JNC), on Sunday discussed with a delegation from the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA), the nursing and midwifery services provided by the agency in the region and ways to enhance joint cooperation.

During the meeting, Her Highness stressed the importance of strengthening joint cooperation and exerting further efforts that contribute to support nursing and midwifery roles in the agency's operation areas.

The meeting went over on several issues, primarily the diploma program that is currently being implemented in primary health care, which targets a number of nurses and midwives in Jordan, West Bank and Gaza Strip, according to a JNC statement.

The discussions also tackled future cooperation prospects aimed to train staff working in the UNRWA health sector in Jordan, Syria and Lebanon, West Bank and Gaza Strip, the statement added.

For their part, the delegates valued Her Princess's efforts in supporting the agency's operations and motivating the nurses and midwives working in UNRWA.

The delegation presented UNRWA's shield to Her Highness in honor and appreciation for her efforts in supporting nursing and midwifery sectors at the local, regional and international levels.
