Awqaf Ministry is in charge of 8000 mosques across Kingdom: Khalaileh

Ammon News - Awqaf Minister Mohammad Khalaileh underlined the ministry's continued support and care for buil;ding and reconstruction of mosques in all regions of the Kingdom.
"The Kingdom, since its founding 100 years ago, has been established on the Islamic identity due to the connection of its Hashemite leadership to the lineage of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, and the its people commitment to a pan-Islamic heritage based on Islamic values, customs and authentic traditions," Khalaileh said in the Friday Khutbah at the mosque of the late Hajj Jamal Duraidi in Sahab District, southeast of Amman, which was opened Friday.
In the Friday Khutbah, Khalaileh called for praising God Almighty, in compliance with the Holy Qur'an, and teachings of Prophet MoHammad, peace and blessings be upon him.
On building mosques, Khalaileh said that this process is a sign of faith and a rewarded deed, both materially and spiritually, for whoever involved in it.
The Awqaf Ministry, according to Khalaileh, is in charge of about 8,000 mosques across the Kingdom, as per His Majesty King Abdullah's directions.
"That's why the Awqaf Ministry's budget is among the highest ministries in the country, which indicates its importance in terms of building and preserving mosques, and emphasizes the mosque's advocacy and social message," Khalaileh concluded.
