CDD teams rescue falling tourist in Ma'an

Ammon News - Rescue teams in the Ma'an Civil Defense Directorate on Friday evacuated a foreign tourist who fell off a rock in Umm Bayara area in Ma'an Governorate, southern Jordan.

The Public Security Directorate (PSD) spokesperson said that rescue and ambulance teams, with the support of the Search and Rescue Team of the Desert Road Civil Defense Directorate, moved to the location of the accident on foot for seven hours and was able to reach the injured using special equipment for this type of accidents.

Rescue teams provided the injured tourist with the necessary first aid at the site, as he suffered various fractures, wounds and bruises, and then he was transferred to Queen Rania Public Hospital to receive the necessary treatment, the PSD spokesperson explained.
