Ammon News - 160,000 patients visited Jordan for treatment from the beginning of this year until the end of last October, with an increase of 27% compared to the same period last year, according to the head of the Private Hospitals Association, Fawzi Hamouri, on Tuesday.
There is optimism in the current world, noting at the same time that the numbers have not returned to what they were before Corona, he added.
Hamouri indicated that Jordan was distinguished by performing delicate operations such as heart and organ transplantation.
He stressed that the International Healthcare Travel Forum (IHTF) focused on the importance of the role of ambassadors in marketing to Jordan as an interface for medical tourism.
He called for stimulating the medical sector in Jordan by reducing income and sales tax and facilitating entry into Jordan.
He pointed out that the issue of reviewing taxes on the sector is still "pending."
