Rise in temps forecast over weekend

Ammon News - Temperatures on Thursday is expected to rise few degrees, becoming slightly above the seasonal average, and bringing normal summer weather in the highlands, and hot conditions in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea and Aqaba, with low clouds, the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD) said.
As we head into Friday, a further increase in mercury levels is forecast, triggering hot conditions in much parts of the Kingdom, except in the mountainous areas and the plains where it will be relatively hot, with low- altitude clouds and northwesterly moderate to active winds at times, the JMD added.
Similar weather conditions will persist on Saturday and Sunday, with northwesterly moderate winds, the forecasters predicted.
Today, mercury in the capital Amman will range between a high of 33 degrees Celsius and a low of 18C, while the port city of Aqaba will see a sweltering 39C, sliding to 27C at night.
