Sudan floods kill 52

Ammon News - The Sudanese authorities Saturday said that the floods that had impacted the country killed 52 people and swiped off large swathes.

The Sudanese National Council for Civil Defense stated that the torrential rains killed 52 and injured 25 others, whilst 5,345 houses were destroyed by the floods and 2,862 partially destroyed in the states of River Nile, South Kordofan and East Darfur.

The floods destroyed 55 facilities and shops, as well as 540 acres of agricultural land concentrated in the states of Gezira and Central Darfur.
