World Bank team visits National Epidemiology and Infectious Diseases Center

Ammon News - A World Bank health team concluded a two-day visit to the National Epidemiology and Infectious Diseases Center aimed at examining prospects for supporting the center to enable it to fulfill its mandate.

According to a news release issued by the center on Wednesday, the delegation, led by the bank's regional director, was informed on the center's aims and duties, and potential for mutual cooperation.

The purpose of the tour, according to the statement, is to analyze the resilience of health systems during emergencies like as the Coronavirus pandemic, as well as strategies to strengthen and reinforce capabilities.
