Ammon News - Minister of Industry, Trade and Supply Yousef Shamali has discussed enhancing bilateral cooperation with Algerian ministers in the fields of commerce, industry, and energy.

The Ministry said in a statement on Wednesday that Shamali had held several meetings with Minister of Industry Ahmed Zeghdar, Minister of Energy and Mining Mohamed Arkab, and a number of other officials.

Shamali discussed cooperation opportunities with the Algerian industry minister and achieving integration in some industrial sectors.

During Shamali's meeting with the energy minister, the two agreed on hiring specialists to study the prospects of supplying Jordan with crude oil, liquefied natural gas, liquefied petroleum gas, and distributing and storing petroleum products in the Kingdom.

The minister is visiting Algeria to prepare for meetings of the joint committee and participate in Algiers International Fair that opened yesterday.

For their part, the two Algerian ministers stressed their country's commitment to boosting economic cooperation with Jordan in trade, investment, and energy and leveraging available opportunities.
