Saudi says COVID vaccine prerequisite for pilgrimage visa

Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Hajj and Umrah Sunday said it will ask for a COVID-19 vaccine certificate from those who wish to obtain a pilgrimage visa to perform Hajj and Umrah in Islam's holiest city: Mecca.

The Ministry listed the COVID-19 vaccine as a prerequisite for pilgrimage visa eligibility, noting that the vaccine must be recognised by the GCC country, according to the Saudi Press Agency (SAP).
