Dudin to take part in Arab Information Ministers 51th session in Cairo

Ammon News - Minister of State for Media Affairs Sakher Dudin on Tuesday arrived in Egypt, Cairo, for a working visit during which he will take part in the 51th Session of the Council of Arab Information Ministers, to be kicked off on Wednesday.

The 51th Session, which will be held face-to-face for the first time post-covid, is of particular importance with the Palestinian cause topping its agenda of discussions, along with the Arab media strategy and the action plan of Arab media abroad, which works on strengthening media orientations in support of this just cause through cooperation and solidarity with various components of the Arab media, Petra reported.

The Session will tackle issues of concern to the future of Arab media, including the adoption of the Action Program of the Media Map for Sustainable Development and the Arab Electronic Media Committee (AEMC).

The Arab Ministers of Information will also deliberate the inclusion of educational media subject in the Arab educational curricula, the development of a strategy to deal with the major media companies influencing the global digital landscape, and the need to activate the role of electronic media in confronting terrorism, according to Petra.
