PM stresses importance of raising Jordan’s credit rating from Moody’s

Ammon News - Prime Minister Dr. Bisher Khasawneh stressed Sunday, the importance of the Jordanian achievement represented by raising the Kingdom's credit rating from Moody's Ratings for the first time in 21 years.

During a Cabinet session, Khasawneh said that Jordan’s progress in the classification of international agencies and its success in financial reviews with the International Monetary Fund (IMF) are an important achievement for the national economy.

The state's success in curbing inflation and achieving a balance in the trade balance and international presence is extremely important and reflects the state's resilience and strength, he added.

The Prime Minister also saluted the Ministry of Finance and its staff, the Central Bank of Jordan, and the sectoral and service ministries for their efforts in this achievement.
