Ammon News - The demand for food supplies increased on Tuesday by 30 percent in some areas of the Kingdom as people prepare for the blizzard, head of the General Association for Foodstuffs Merchants, Khalil Haj Tawfiq, said on Wednesday.
"Despite this high turnout, purchasing rate is retreated in comparison with similar weather conditions in previous years," Tawfiq told the Jordan News Agency (Petra), expecting that such demand will further increase today.
Tawfiq stressed that foodstuffs in the Kingdom are sufficient to meet public needs.
