Cancer awareness march held on UJ campus

Ammon News - Jordan Pharmaceutical Students’ Association (JPSA) members, in cooperation with the School of Pharmacy, on Sunday held an awareness march at the University of Jordan to mark World Cancer Day, according to a statement from the university.

UJ President Abdul Karim Al Qudah commended the event and its aim to promote cancer awareness, indicating that adopting a healthy lifestyle is an important step towards preventing cancer diseases.

Dean of the School of Pharmacy Rana Abu Al Dhahab said that the march came in support of the national cancer awareness campaign titled "Still Up to the Challenge” of the King Hussein Cancer Centre on the occasion of World Cancer Day, annually marked on February 4. JPSA was established in May 2007.

It is an association for pharmacy students in Jordan affiliated with the International Pharmacy Student Federation, according to the statement.
