Ammon News - Minister of Social Development, Ayman Mufleh, and Mahmoudia Motors Chairman, Basem Malhas, on Sunday, discussed training of the National Aid Fund (NAF) beneficiaries and members of poor families in the Jaguar Land Rover Apprentice Academy, under conditions and controls set by the two parties.
Mufleh was briefed on practical and theoretical training stages within car maintenance workshops and classrooms at the academy, founded by Mahmoudia Motors, the official agent for Jaguar and Land Rover cars in Jordan, where graduates receive training for free, as part of the academy's social responsibility. The Academy, which is the first of its kind regionally, provides the opportunity for Jordanian youth to enroll in its programs in the vehicle technology stream, in a way that prepares them for the labor market internally and externally.
The two parties touched on the relationship between the Ministry and the Al Hussein Technical University (HTU), as this matter will be discussed with the HTU President, Ismail Al-Hanti, to come up with a trilateral agreement between the ministry, the university and the academy.
Mufleh stressed the importance of vocational training for members of poor families, empowering them and developing their skills to obtain job opportunities in this promising sector, noting that their training through the academy gives them preference and opportunity in the automotive technology sectors, and professional work in various branches in light of the increasing demand for it locally and in the Arab world.
