Hot, dry weather to persist nationwide-JMD

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - The weather remains dry and sizzling nationwide, as "a low" chance of light and shattered rain, especially in the Kingdom's southern regions, is forecast, the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD) said in its daily brief.

Winds will be northwesterly to northeasterly moderate, picking up sometimes to trigger dust, especially in desert areas, added the JMD.

Over the next two days, the weather will remain dry and sweltering countrywide, and some clouds at medium and high altitudes are forecast, said the JMD report.

Mercury in Amman today hovers around a sweltering 42C degrees, falling to 25C during night hours, while the Dead Sea and the Gulf of Aqaba will see a scorching 45C, 47C respectively, sliding to 28C, 29C, in a row, during night time.
