Sixty-three COVID-19 infections recorded in Kingdom

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - Sixty-three COVID-19 cases were recorded in the Kingdom Tuesday, 59 of which are domestic, pushing the caseload to 2,097, according to the Ministry of Health (MoH).
A joint statement issued by the Prime Ministry and the MoH said that 54 of the newly registered infections had been recorded in Amman, the source of 2 of which are still being investigated, 4 cases in the Zarqa governorate and 1 in Jerash, the source of which is still unknown.
Four cases are for patients who had come from abroad and had been staying in quarantine hotels, the statement reads.
On a higher note, 56 recovered today, the statement added, highlighting that 10,861 tests were conducted amid the government's effort to drum up tests as the total number tops 839,241 since the beginning of the outbreak in the Kingdom.
Health officials urged people to commit to Defense Order no. 11 of 2020 and adhere to safety and preventive measures, chief of which is wearing masks and gloves. They warned against the risk of holding gatherings of more than 20 people.
The MoH highlighted the importance of downloading the "Aman" and "Sehtak" applications that have shown efficiency in combatting and limiting the spread of the novel coronavirus.
