Furthermore, the statement added that the draft is designed to strengthen the bureau's legal status and its financial and administrative independence away from the "influence and pressure" of the executive authority and its affiliates or any entity working under its supervision, which is subject to the bureau's law. The new amendments provide sufficient guarantees to ensure that the bureau is provided with the necessary financial and human resources in line with international financial oversight standards. The bill also grants the president of the bureau the authority to enforce the law and enable him/her to protect public funds, fight corruption and take the necessary measures to recover public money in a timely manner.
