Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research (MOHESR) said the media statements made by the Minister, Dr. Mohieldin Touq, regrading Jordanian students overseas, who returned home, doesn't necessarily mean eligibility to enroll in Jordanian universities "automatically" and receive exemption from the university admission policy in place.
These students can enroll in Jordanian universities, provided they achieve the minimum General Secondary Education Certificate (Tawjihi) average required for admission to each target specialty as stipulated in the effective admission policy, the MOHESR said in a press release on Sunday.
These students can join any of the public universities within the "Parallel Program," or in any of the private HEIs, the statement noted, adding equivalence of their previous courses in overseas universities can be assessed after their admission.
The students are requested to study at least 50 percent of the university syllabus at Jordan's HEIs according to the legislation in force in each university, the statement pointed out.
