Sweltering heat wave continues today

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - An extreme heat wave is still baking most parts of the Kingdom on Sunday, with temperatures climbing to a scorching 7 to 8 degrees above annual average, bringing extremely hot and dry conditions, the Jordan Meteorological Department said in its daily brief.

Excessive heat watches will continue on Monday and Tuesday despite a slight in mercury levels, with easterly moderate winds, the JMD added.

Temperatures in Amman today will hover around 42 degrees during daytime, sliding to 27 at evening hours, while Dead Sea, and the Gulf of Aqaba will see a sweltering 44 degrees during daytime, dropping to 31 at night.
